Techniques to use your remaining vision confidently and build independent-living skills.
Low vision care has evolved from simple advice into a full range of optical, non-optical and electronic strategies and devices. Whatever your level of sight, our goal is to keep you independent in the activities that matter to you.
Step 01Every plan begins with understanding your sight and your life. Dr. Siddiqui carries out a thorough assessment of your functional vision — how you see, not just what you read on a chart — and discusses the everyday tasks you find difficult.
Step 02The right optical aid can transform an everyday task. We assess, recommend and let you trial a range of devices matched to specific activities — so you leave knowing what works for you.
Step 03Some of the most effective changes cost very little. Good lighting, bold contrast and simple adaptations around the home and workplace can make reading, cooking and moving around far easier and safer.
Step 04Modern technology has opened up new possibilities for people with sight loss. We introduce electronic magnification and assistive tools, and help you get comfortable using them.

Low vision services can help people living with age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, retinitis pigmentosa and other causes of reduced sight — where standard glasses, medication or surgery can't fully restore vision.
You do not need to be registered as sight impaired to benefit. If everyday tasks are getting harder because of your sight, we're here to help.
